It Had Been A Long Time

I was recently spending some time with a friend at there place last weekend when a glass of wine was offered. I of course was game, after all, it was 5pm somewhere! I was a little surprised when the friendly offering was a Riesling from Alsace, it had been a long time since I had any. I was reminded of my opinion that Alsace produces among the best white wines in the world! Great depth, subtle fruit, rich and dry! These are perhaps the sturdiest, most age worthy dry white wines produced anywhere. I was drinking the entry level Riesling from Trimbach!
